Tristan and Mary

We (Jack and I) have some wonderful new friends, Tristan & Mary, that we met at church. Tristan is only like 3 or 4 days older than Jack and just as cute and smart! Mary is due with Baby Girl #2 any day now so our next two will also be super close in age! We met them up for a play date on the Waterway to let the kids play in the water. I think there was less water and more running around, but they were really cute. I love these moments where I can sit back and watch him play with friends.

Just a typical night at The Jambers!

Jack makes us laugh! He's been really big into wearing his sunglasses and whatever else he can find. He usually puts his sunglasses on upside down like this and asks, "Is this right, Mommy?"

Research Park

I've been wanting to take Jack to feed the ducks at Research Park up at A&M since he's been able to walk but have always found myself too busy socializing while I'm there that we never make it out to it. This place brings back so many college memories as I often found myself there studying, taking naps, feeding the ducks, and most importantly getting engaged! Anyway, when we were in town for Kendall's graduation, I decided to venture there with my old college roommate, Heather, and her family while everyone else was at the graduation. Jack absolutely LOVED feeding the ducks and seeing the fish and turtles in the water. I definitely need to take him more often.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this picture of Pops with Jack.
Heather & Logan!

Maybe one day this place will be just as memorable to Jack as it is to me!

Kendall's Graduation

Cousin Kendall graduated from A&M in May, and the whole family (along with a few others) rented out this amazing house close to Hearne. Saturday morning, before the party festivities began, we played around the house and swam in the FREEZING cold pool. the cold effected everyone except Jack.
Kendall dared John to go down the slide which in turn led to her having to also go down the slide.
Then, Sharla said she'd go if I went (we escaped the camera!) and then Travis voluntarily went.
Jack couldn't be left out of the fun!
Being his wonderful parents, we got to stay in the ice cold pool while everyone else retreated inside.
Jack and I didn't go to graduation since it would last too long so we went to dinner with some old college friends and then headed back to the house for more pool time :) He screamed with laughter and joy the ENTIRE time he was in there. He is a little fish.
So I wasn't very good at taking pictures of anything other than my son apparently, oops! Everyone was beautiful as they celebrated Kendall's great accomplishment.

Bandana Fun

I just can't resist this cuteness!

Like Mommy, Like Son

I've been on a hiatus from baking for about the last 5 months but have recently started doing it more regularly again. One of my favorite things to do when baking would be to like to bowl when finished :) I was making strawberry pie a few weeks ago and offered the spoon to Jack. I soon realized I think he might like it as much as I do and that I might have to start sharing the responsibility! As long as there is some for both of us, I guess I'm okay with sharing :)

Delayed Easter Bunny

Since we weren't at home for Easter, our Easter Bunny came a few days late! Jack put his basket by the door Monday night and was excited to see his toys the next morning.
This game was a hit! We play it often.

Annual Neighborhood Confetti Egg Smash!

Our wonderful neighbors host a confetti egg smash every Easter evening. The two yards are covered with eggs, and the kids get to first get as many as they can and then smash them all over everyone. Jack had a lot of fun cracking them on his neighbors' heads. We LOVE or neighbors and are thankful that they are willing to host and clean up every year :)
