Bluebonnets

I was feeling like a lazy mom since I hadn't taken Jack's pictures in the bluebonnets this year...nor did I have any major plans to do so. I was in luck, though, when there was this gorgeous patch of flowers on the road heading to the lake house that we rented with the family. Lucky me, huh?!
I love the effort we put in to try and make 4 sweet kids to look at us. Just wait until it is 7 :) I don't know how photographers do it.

Thank you Lord for simple reminders of how beautiful You are.

The Last Good Bye

Back in April, we all gathered together out at a lake to spread my dad's ashes. It was a beautiful time with the family, and we spent it just the way my dad would have wanted. I truly think dad was smiling down on us as we watched all the grandkids laugh and play constantly. It brings me pure joy to see these kids all together. They were the light in my dad's eyes. Saturday night, my brother, sister, and I, along with our spouses, spread his ashes and just remembered his life. It was a time I will forever remember.
This was MY prized fish. I HATE fish, and as I was casting out, a fish decided to bite which scared the tar out of me. The moment I realized I had a fish, I screamed and ran which left Andy to reel it in. It was the biggest fish truly caught all weekend :)
This swing was a true highlight for the kids!
 Our Saturday night dinner.
It doesn't get much better than this.
I love this family more than they know and so did Dad. Again, I am so thankful for that weekend and even more thankful that my Daddy is in Heaven and was able to be there somehow for it.

7 Acre Woods

Shelby and I took the kids to 7 Acre Woods back in April. Jack enjoyed petting the animals while Lucy wanted nothing to do with them! The kids did play their little heart outs on the playground.
If you look closely, you can see the goat riding on top of the donkey! It was really funny. He just hopped on and went for a ride.
Lucy Lu loves giving her kisses.
I can't get enough of these two hams! I only hope they will be life long friends :)

Montgomery County Fair

We headed up to the Montgomery County Fair with the Hynes not too long ago. It was nice because it was a lot smaller, but I was super surprised at how expensive everything was. Jack really enjoyed this one section that was super hands on. Caleb just wanted to run everywhere!
Jack was a good example for turn the other cheek!
Jack got to ride his very first carnival ride! He loved every second of riding the train ALL BY HIMSELF!
