Watermelon

There's nothing cuter than a sweet toddler eating a slice of watermelon on a hot summer day!

Ma-Mow

I can't explain how fascinated Jack is with the lawnmower. He wakes up talking about it, and goes to bed thinking of it. Anytime he hears something mechanical, there he goes. Ma-mow, Ma-mow, Ma-mow. Anytime we are outside, there he goes, Ma-mow, Ma-mow, Ma-mow. He just loves it. John usually mows on the weekend so you will find us sitting right there, watching his every move. Grams and Pops have a special Zero Turn lawn mower that Jack can ride on. He really enjoys that one...but so do I!!

Happy Fourth!

We spent the morning of the 4th outside watching John mow the grass. Jack sat quietly in his chair as he watched in awe - waving and blowing kisses to his Daddy.
Later in the evening, we headed over to the Graham's house to eat dinner and then on to the Anadarko parking garage to see the fireworks. Jack played for about an hour before the fireworks went off and then sat in Daddy's lap. He handled everything really well even with his fever that day. We got home about 10:30 with a conked baby in the back!

My little fish

Just another day of swimming!

BeAnS!

I recently made Jack a bean sensory box, and it was a hit! He has not tried to eat them (yet), and he does fairly decent with keeping them in the pool which makes clean up pretty easy. I bought a a scoop from the $1 section at Target for the pool, but it works perfect for this.

Weekend Getaway with the Cousins!

We usually try to do our annual summer family getaway with my immediate family (and The Keels!), but this year, due to finances & my dad, it ended up just being my sister and her family and us. We rented a cottage at a Resort out in Conroe. It was a very relaxing weekend, and the kids swam their little hearts out! They had 5 different pools all located together so we hopped back and forth between a few of them. Benji loved the smallest pool where he just splashed in the water under the shade. Jack LOVED the kids' area where there was a slide that Daddy could take him on (over and over and over again). And Luke loved the lap pool where he could "swim like a fish and hop like a rabbit!"
 Benji's in timeout!
Benji wanted nothing to do with going down that slide after his first experience!
 And here they go...again!
Who knows what Jack is doing?!
We made smores nightly, and they were delicious!
 Our last morning there...
These boys were waiting on John to come back
So long for now!
I absolutely love watching these boys together. We are blessed beyond words with our family.
