Gingerbread house

Life got so busy before Christmas that we forgot to do our gingerbread house. There's no rule that it has to be done in December...so we did our in January! This was our first one together as a family. Jack was way more interested in the idea of eating it rather than decorating :) Again, like mother like son!
I love being a Mommy to these two sweet ones.

My Big Boy

In the matter of a week, Carter decided to be a big boy...a really big boy. He started eating food, on Jan. 1, he decided he could sit by himself, and in the following days, he learned how to blow raspberries and roll from he back to front. It all happened way too early for this momma! He's supposed to be my baby, right?! Here are a few pictures of his first sitting moment :)
Our whole life has changed due to this one week! This kid now never is still. Stop growing so fast sweet C, stop growing so fast.

New Year's Eve

For New Year's Eve, we headed over to our good friend's, The Hynes', house. The cooked some delicious pulled pork, and we were able to just hang out with some great friends.
When it got dark, we headed outside to do some Sparklers. It was a wee bit cold so most everyone headed back inside, but we weren't going to let it stop our fun.
Who knows what he is singing!
 Double fisting...
We spent the rest of the evening hanging with the kids upstairs. We finally left around 9:30 when Carter just couldn't last any longer. Here's to an amazing 2015 where my heart will swell with pride and love as I watch my boys grow.

Carter's First Food

As soon as we got back from Fort Worth, We decided it was time for Carter to start rice cereal. So on December 30, Carter's world was changed!!
Yes, that is food in his hair! It was THAT good.
This went soooo much smother than when Jack ate his first food. Carter loved every second of it and came at it with mouth wide open.

2014 Christmas #3

The day after Christmas, we loaded up the car and headed to Fort Worth to do Christmas with my family. I love this time together simply because I love seeing the kids together. It's time like these that just make me smile. This year wasn't too chaotic since half of them were still not mobile, but I can only imagine what next year will be like!
We opened the gifts from the aunts and uncles first and then headed to the living room so that the kids could open Gigi's presents. We did this a little different than years past, and it worked out GREAT!
Carter just loves his cousin Luke!
 Thanks GIGI!
Who needs presents when there is wrapping paper!
You can only ask for so much when taking a picture of 8 little ones!
After the kids opened, they took to the front room to play with their new stuff while the adults were able to open ours. When all was done, we had to get in our yearly Christmas pictures.

Happy Birthday Jesus!

One of our new family traditions that we were able to start this Christmas was baking a cake for Jesus' Birthday. We are truly hoping to raise our children where they know that Christmas has nothing to do with the presents, Santa, or Christmas decorations but all to do with Jesus, and because of Him, we are able to have everything else.
We talked up this cake for awhile. Jack got to pick out what kind of cake, the icing, and the candle! His favorite part was putting on the sprinkles of course.
 Singing
I don't know what this boy is going to do when he has to start sharing all of these exciting things such as blowing out candles!
Thank you Jesus for You.
