Christmas 2014 Morning

Jack woke up Christmas morning in his typical fashion..."Mommy, Daddy, waking up!" This allowed us to rush out of bed and get the camera ready :) The first thing he went for was the milk and cookies. He was so excited to see that they were eaten.
Next, he found his stocking and presents.
The one thing he wanted from Santa was another pair of light up shoes. He was so cute to watch when he opened up what he wanted.
Firefighter Jack
Carter finally woke up so Jack was then able to open his gifts.
After opening Santa's gifts, we ate breakfast and then opened our gifts from the family. Jack tore into each one and was ready to play right away!
Carter was just simply along for the ride. I can't wait to see him be able to truly be a part of it next year.
I am so blessed to have a loving God that sent His son for me, and because of the great love, we get to celebrate special things like this.

Santa's Almost here!

Right before bed, I had to get my matching PJ picture with the tree. Again, I had this amazing idea, and I just couldn't seem to capture it. I see the pictures everywhere done correctly, and I just couldn't nail it. Maybe I should actually try to research and learn before next year!
I searched high and low for cute matching PJs for these boys and could never find any in both of their sizes. Well, the weekend before Christmas, I walked into Carters with my inlaws and low and behold, they had these. Now they weren't the cutest, but they had their sizes, and I had no other option. I've realized that I'm super picky on some things, and if I have an idea, I need to shop early!
This hand hold doesn't looked forced now does it?!
Tracking Santa before going to bed.
One more check on the cookies. Santa got the cookies and the milk was strictly for Rudolph!
Being a mom is just simply amazing!

Santa Cookies

2014 Christmas was the year we decided to finally celebrate Christmas at our house. I couldn't wait to start making memories and settling into traditions that our family will hopefully do for years to come. The first thing we had to do was bake our cookies for Santa! Oatmeal chocolate chip was on the menu this year.
I did get a new cookie scoop that morning that worked perfectly :)

2014 Christmas Celebration #1

We traveled down to the ranch before Christmas and spent up until Christmas Eve with them. That day was such a whirlwind that I didn't really take much time to document it :( We woke up that morning to have family breakfast with John's family. Then, we all opened gifts!
 Big boxes are great props!
After we finished opening gifs, we all got ready to head to Grammie's house. I couldn't leave without a few more pictures of my kids and this box! I had a great picture in my head, but I couldn't ever capture it.
We ate lunch at Grammies and tore into our presents quickly before we had to load up and head home. Although it happened fast, we loved being there with family.

My little fisher man

Ever since we got one of John's old fishing poles at the house, Jack has loved to "fish". He will cast and reel over and over and over in our front yard! For Christmas, Grams and Pops bought him a new Spiderman pole with lots of shiny lures. He was super excited, and they put it to use right away.
And this is what I do while they fish...take pictures with Carter! And when C gets big enough, he'll be right there beside him, and me...I'll have some Mommy time :)
Although there hasn't been a catch yet, you will still find him casting his heart away.

Post Santa Picture Session

We go and visit Santa in Market Street every year, and then, I continue to take pictures afterwards :) Cute Kids + Nice Place = Perfect Opportunity, right?!
Carter was way more interested in everything around him than the camera.
