Park Time

With the weather so great, we haven't been able to spend enough time outside! We love going to the park and have lots of options around us. For this trip, we loaded up some fresh watermelon and headed out to have some fun!
Carter just hung out and enjoyed the gorgeous weather, too!

Warm Weather = WATER!

With the weather warming up, we have played in the water quite a bit. On this day, our good friends, Julie, Caleb, and Connor, came over to join in on the fun. The boys played for over an hour laughing and smiling the whole time. If I could keep this innocence forever, I would.
I am ready for our wee ones to be able to join in on the fun.

2015 Houston Rodeo

We picked John up from work one morning and headed down to the Houston Rodeo! It was much of the same at the exhibits - tractors, trucks, rabbits, etc - but this year, we saw a cow give birth, and it was pretty cool! Don't worry, no pictures :)
Then, we headed out to the carnival area.
We actually decided to let Jack chose a few rides. What stunk was that we had to pay to do it with him so our tickets went super fast. He was only able to do two things.
I got to ride the slides with him and John did something else. This little slide was pretty fun!
Overall, it was fun, but we realized, it is a money pit. Next year, we will head to John's hometown rodeo/fair.

Carter: 7 months

Carter,

You are the biggest go getter, and I can't contain you for a second. SLOW DOWN!

At seven months, you are weighing in at 17 lbs 12 oz. and have your two bottom teeth. You eat the exact same but are becoming a bit more picky. You have become to purse your lips and blow things out when you don't want to eat it. It also takes a bit to get an entire meal down if it isn't your favorite. We do animal and car sounds a long with making you laugh. You keep meal time interesting! We have introduced Mum-Mums and you aren't really sure about them yet. Good news, though - you aren't spitting up nearly as bad anymore!!

Your sleeping is about the same too. You do wake up often at night, but we just let you cry. Gone are the mornings where you slept until 7:30-8.

This month, you have really gotten good at pulling yourself up or scaling over objects, and you army crawl with the best of them. You love getting into the small trashcans around the house which is just lovely! And if I am helping your brother in the bathroom, you are instantly in there. You will no longer just play with toys in the hall waiting for us to finish. You like putting everything in your mouth, and you love your brother the most. He brightens you up always. You have also started to talk - Gaa Gaa Gaa. I absolute love hearing you.
Cart Tart - You are too much! That smile, that laugh, those pursed lips. I just love you. God is going to do great things with you.

I loved you yesterday, I love you today, and I will love you tomorrow,
Mommy

Happy 5th Birthday Luke!

Back in March, we went to Fort Worth to celebrate Luke's 5th birthday. He's super into Legos right now so he had a Lego birthday.
They all made Lego cars and had a races in heats. It was a big hit.
And don't forget the bounce house!!
All the little ones were there, too - I promise!

I cannot believe Luke's 5 and starts Kindergarten next year. It just doesn't seem right. It feels just like last year that I was being stand in dad and waking up every few hours with Kays in the middle of night when he was just a few days old. Can't they all just stop growing?!

Road Rally

Jack's road rally at school was a couple of week ago. He was super excited about it, and he rode his scooter as fast as his little legs would let him go. He took a few spills but was a big boy and didn't shed a single tear or even mutter a cry. I was super proud of him because that is NOT normal!
Jack and his school best friend, Amelie - a girl, of course.
