Weekend Getaway with the Cousins!

We usually try to do our annual summer family getaway with my immediate family (and The Keels!), but this year, due to finances & my dad, it ended up just being my sister and her family and us. We rented a cottage at a Resort out in Conroe. It was a very relaxing weekend, and the kids swam their little hearts out! They had 5 different pools all located together so we hopped back and forth between a few of them. Benji loved the smallest pool where he just splashed in the water under the shade. Jack LOVED the kids' area where there was a slide that Daddy could take him on (over and over and over again). And Luke loved the lap pool where he could "swim like a fish and hop like a rabbit!"

 I absolutely love watching these boys together. We are blessed beyond words with our family.

I think Jack is going to take after his momma with a love for corn on the cob! He is the cutest thing eating it, too!

Water, Water, and more Water!

Jack is a little fish. He LOVES playing the water, and we do it quite often!

 This past weekend, John and I set up a few of Jack's pools and played. He loved going down the slide and into the water. As much as he loves water, and really doesn't play in his kiddie pools very well. He plays for about 5 minutes and is then done. We wish someone could have taken our picture because Jack ended up playing in the yard with his lawnmower while John and I each relaxed in one of the pools. It was quite funny!

First Summer Play Date

I organized our first summer play date with my friends from church a few weeks ago. We met at an open gym which was perfect for our little ones.

Sharla's Rehearsal Dinner

Sharla got married a few weeks ago, and my little man was the cutest dressed thing at the rehearsal dinner! We struggled finding something cute so we ended up borrowing the outfit from Jack's friend, Elijah. It fit him perfectly, and he was just handsome! He sat through the rehearsal well as long as Aunt Sharon was feeding him :) At dinner, he loved getting the attention while he ran around the room. I think this kid knows he's pretty cute!

Happy Father's Day!

Jack and I spent Father's Day weekend making sure John felt special! We made breakfasts, went out to eat at one of his favorite places (Red Lobster), and cooked his favorite dinner. We laid pretty low other than that and just hung out as a family. For his present, he got a new pillow (weird, yes, I know!), and we made him a picture for him to put up at work.
