Happy Halloween!

Jack rocked his first Halloween! John and I carried him around the entire block, and he did great. He even managed to grab a piece of candy out of some of the bowls :) He didn't seem to mind the outfit too much either. I think we've got ourselves a trick-or-treater on our hands. It is crazy to think that next year he will be walking up to the doors himself.

A monkey in the pumpkins

I finally found the time to get Jack to the pumpkin patch in his Halloween costume. I think I've got the cutest monkey in town.

In and Around Virginia

Here are some more pictures from our trip.

There was a box of toys waiting for Jack when he arrived!
We ventured out to the D.C Zoo!

Jack was getting sleepy, and I wanted a few more pics of him at the zoo so what did I pick...the prairie dog's bottom! Little did I know there was a statue of two prairie dogs playing just a little ways down.

We had about 20 minutes to spare before our plane boarded so we let Jack play. The airport was closing due to Hurricane Sandy two hours after our flight so the airport was open to Jack!! He enjoyed crawling everywhere :) I think he wore himself out since he slept almost the entire flight home. Thank you!!!

LEAVES!

One of the main things I wanted to capture in Virginia is the leaves. Every time I saw a tree with gorgeous colors, I just smiled to myself and acknowledged the fact that I serve an amazing God! We walked to a little park by the Marshall's house that was perfect for pictures. I got some really cute ones, but I had to save many of them because I'm not sure which ones will be on our Christmas card!!! Jack really enjoyed the pile of leaves that Sara Catherine scooped up for him. He was really hamming it up for us!

Apple Picking!

Jack had a big first last week as we flew to Virginia to visit some dear friends of ours. He rocked the airplane! We stayed with some college friends the first night in Maryland and then made our way to Arlington on Friday to meet up with the Marshalls. Our first adventure was to an apple orchard where we tried our best to find some apples. It was late in the season so many of the apples were at the tops of the trees which made for quite the work on our end!! We enjoyed the experience and the delicious apples :)

 In Action!

 Yummy!
James: Sara Catherine...I think we have enough!
